I wish he were here, can you imagine I haven't seen Adrian since I left hk in '98. That's disgusting.
What's even more disgusting is that when you fly from Vancouver to HK usually you have a free (or pay like an extra 100$) ticket option to Singapore or Bangkok, hello BOTH places I live in!
Anyways, we had a good catch up session, and I guess the quote came from the jerkface story I shared.
Which, I would share to most people in person (hmm provided they don't know jerkface), but in a blog...not my thing.
But from the quote...deduce this...don't put so much into a relationship when the other one is just taking you for a ride.

I will never let that happen to me again, I am worth so much more than to be treated like that. It disgusts me that I let it happen.
On another note, could this quote also apply to work? we always always bust our ass for whoever and whatever we work for, at the end of the day, employees are dispensable.
You are dispensable and you are just one of their options. Makes me think, should I come home in August or stay in Singapore to work?
*sigh* lots to think about, and lots of HR stuff to think about (I have an International HRM exam on Saturday)

you can not apply work to this analogy. This is because at work, although you are dispensible, you can still wokr at being indispensible. In a rel'nship one may be dispensible despite effort.
And plus, work pays the bills
